Our first month of June training as a team has flown by and somehow Vermont managed to provide us with beautiful weather for pretty much the entire month! I shouldn’t talk about it too much and jinx it, but I think this is the nicest summer weather I’ve ever experienced.
The majority of us are taking the next week or so pretty easy before either heading to Alaska for the U.S. Ski Team camp or putting in a big volume block back here in Stratton. I will be headed to Alaska on Wednesday and am looking forward to being reunited with my other U.S. Team teammates who I haven’t seen since Bend. It’s always nice to switch up the area where we train and it will be a good opportunity to get back on snow for a week on Eagle Glacier in Alaska. It will be hard to leave behind the awesome training situation we have here, but I know my SMS T2 teammates and Stratton will still be here when we return.
Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone. Enjoy some fireworks and look for us in the annual Londonderry parade. We will be on skis and giving out caaaandy!
